Fit Mind Fit Body with Dr. Karen MacNeill
Dr. Karen MacNeill has the unique experience of having both competed and consulted on the World Stage. She is a performance psychologist with over 18 years of experience, having worked with athletes competing at the last 4 Olympic Winter Games, and competed herself at the international level for over a decade. Most recently, she was the Lead Mental Performance Consultant for the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea and will perform the same role in the 2020 Olympics in Japan.
As part of the day to day routine, Karen thrives having a broad scope of practice. She is a founding partner with Headversity, a company that measures, tracks and trains resilience in the workplace. Dr. MacNeill has also fulfilled contracts with Copeman Healthcare Center, Canadian Olympic Committee, and multiple fortune 500 companies to name a few. In addition, Karen has been a sessional instructor for the Haskayne School of Business MBA Programs teaching a course on High Performance Leaders and has coached many top-level executives towards consistently executing in their leadership roles.
Karen is also a sought-after presenter and speaker having delivered multiple presentations to CEO forum, leadership conferences and corporate events. She has been invited as a keynote speaker to industry leading conferences, organizational retreats and presented to aspiring leaders at the Young Women of Influence event in Calgary.
Karen provides leadership and contributes to her professional community having served on the Managing Council for Canadian Sport Psychology Associations, is a trustee for Canadian Athletic foundation, and a member of Tourism Calgary’s Calgary Sport and Major Event advisory committee.
Karen’s career achievements and volunteer efforts have been publicly recognized as she was a recipient of the Avenue Top 40 under 40 Award and was a finalist for the 2018 Women of Inspiration award. Her passion and drive for helping others be their best also translates into her life as a mother, wife, and outdoor enthusiast.

SURFACE PARKING: Please see the attached map for available spaces for anyone attending functions within the hotel. The areas in RED are the only areas not available to hotel guests. Once parked in a surface parking stall, all guests must register their license plate with the Front Desk (only required for event from 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday), to avoid being ticketed. Please note: guests having an event in our meeting spaces will be given a sign-in sheet by the banquet team where they can fill out their names and license plate numbers which will then be given to front desk.
UNDERGROUND PARKING: The underground parking is accessed by a security code that changes weekly or key card for registered hotels guests. Once in the underground parking, only park in the spaces marked as “Hotel Guest Parking” in the GREEN areas marked on P1 or P2 Parking levels. Please Note: the clearance to the garage entrance is 5’6”. It is recommended that all large trucks or larger SUVs park on the surface.
