Duane Vienneau
Executive Director, Grey Cup Festival 2018 

Duane Vienneau brings over 30 years of experience in the national and international sport, entertainment, and facility management industry to his role in helping create the Canadian Football League’s most prestigious and memorable national event – the 2018 Grey Cup Festival and 106th Grey Cup game. No stranger to the CFL, Duane previously served as Executive Director of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival, which has been touted by many as the “best Grey Cup ever”. With a passion for both sports and for building new events, prior to joining the 2018 Grey Cup, Duane was President and CEO of the ATB Tour of Alberta (2012-2017), Canada's largest professional cycling race. He served as Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management for two seasons (2011-2012) with the Edmonton Eskimos Football Club. As President of the Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club (2005-2009), Duane’s innovative leadership skills assisted in creating brand awareness of this start-up franchise. A proud Albertan with a commitment to furthering sport within the province, Duane has played key roles as a board or volunteer member with several national and international sporting events, including the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, 2008 National Lacrosse League All Star Game, 2005 Tim Hortons Brier, the 2004 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships, the 2003 Heritage Classic, and the 2001 World Championship in Athletics.
